Overwiev
Bevel gears are gears where the axes of the two shafts intersect and the tooth-bearing faces of the gears themselves are conically shaped. Bevel gears are most often mounted on shafts that are 90 degrees apart, but can be designed to work at other angles as well.
Features
- the coupling conditions between the pinion and the ring gear are improved;
- a smoother motion transmission is assured;
- tooth resistance is increased;
- the undercut effect on the pinion is avoided, even in the case of high transmission ratios and pinions with a limited number of teeth.
